Pros

Volunteer hours are flexible enough. Lower employees are kind and helpful. The libraries patrons were friendly and appreciated recommendations. The shelving system was easy to grasp.

Cons

There weren't many cons, though I would be firm about the amount of time you're willing to give. Being coerced into giving more time than you intended isn't fun.

Pros

Excellent benefits, work is cut-out for you, and vacation time is fantastic. The salary is fair and working with great staff makes your day better.

Cons

Promotions are difficult and each branch has their own environment. You may be unlucky and land a bad one. Communication with upper management can be difficult depending on the issue.
