Pros

Positive coworker enviornment, working directly with the community to provide and assist.

Cons

Worked with this company for three years, and did not receive the raises promised yearly. After inquiring several times, I was informed by HR that online training had to be completed. After completing the online training OFF WORK HOURS, I still did not receive any raises. Upon further research I’ve found that this is illegal. Directly taken from a document published from The U.S. Department of Labor, “ Do I have to pay my employees for training time? 2 When your employees participate in required training, whether on site or online, that time must be recorded, and paid for.􏰀 They also must be paid for any time spent in training while they shadow experienced employees, or do anything else related to their current jobs. In order for time spent during training programs, meetings, lectures, and similar activities not to be counted as hours worked, it must meet all four of the following criteria: it must be outside of normal hours; 􏰀it must be voluntary; 􏰀it must not be job related;􏰀 and no other work is concurrently performed.􏰀 Time spent completing online training, even when completed away from the worksite, must be counted as work time unless all of these criteria are met.􏰀 Online courses are often job related and are often not voluntary.” The training is voluntary and done outside of working hours at times, but often times people do that training on their lunch breaks or during working hours. And each training module is very much work related. I’d encourage all current employees to record how much time was spent on these modules and not only demand that raise you’ve been strung along about, but compensation for the time taken on those modules as well.

Pros

Great management in-store, willing to work with student schedules.

Cons

Corporate is constantly asking for more. There are only 8 hours in a shift and people can only move so fast.
