Retirement plan, vacation time, summer hours

Cons

Lots of overtime with no additional pay. Not enough staff. Negative culture - there is no recognition for achievement. Upper level management is detached from organization and doesn't realize (or doesn't care) what is going on in the trenches.

Pros

Great benefits and wonderful sense of community on campus. The university does a lot for its employees; lots of appreciation events, as well as, personal and professional development opportunities.

Cons

Employees must pay for reserved parking. All parking options around campus are either paid, limited to specific hours, or limited to 3 hrs. Free, all day street parking was about a 10 to 15 minute walk from my building. Took 6 months on wait list to get a reserved, paid parking space.
