Pros

High wages. This is making me write more than 20 words but there is really nothing else good I can say about working for this company.

Cons

Management teams are unorganized and don't value their employees. Awful experience for me and many of the people I worked with will agree. I was a Team Leader and a traveling trainer for about 3 years and I had been written up 3 times for being late in those 3 years and I was terminated for "excessive tardiness". Keep in mind that their definition of being late was if it was even just one minute after your scheduled time. Despite the fact that you may have worked late the night before. In those three years I witnessed many hardworking employees be terminated for trivial reasons, and the absurdly lazy employees got to stay. I even personally witnessed the sexual harassment of young female coworker by an older male coworker and the management team swept the whole situation under the rug to avoid embarrassment. The man was not so much as even written up. This company changes their procedures so often that you never know the correct way to do a task, and you will be berated for not doing something perfectly. If you want to succeed here, just be a lazy "yes" man and you'll fit right in with management. But if you put in actual hard work, you'll get criticized and passed over at every turn.

Pros

Pay, co-workers, you stay busy

Cons

20 minute paid break, if you work 7, 8, 9, 10 hour shift. TOXIC you're constantly afraid to make any mistakes or its corrective action, and I'm not talking about attendance. Just going to work everyday you're afraid all day, of making ANY and I mean ANY mistakes, or its a write up. Training: for a Cashier is 4 days, then they throw you in the trenches, and god forbid you ask a question, because the team leads ( glorified cashier) will correct you in front of a customer, and make you feel like you are stupid. Team Leads..

Pros

Hourly pay + shift differential PTO accrual Great co-workers on third shift

Cons

Buc'ees has been around since 1982, but (imho) is still very young at being a large company, especially considering it's rapid growth. Unstable standards, lack of accountability, inadequate training, absence of communication or cooperation between shifts, negative attitudes toward problem-solving opportunities ... these lead to confusion amongst individuals, contempt amongst the masses, and a turnover rate that, this far, raises no attention upstairs.
