Pros

Good starting salary at 12.25 for the deli

Cons

Before applying, ask yourself if you really want to work somewhere that the employees do not get breaks for their entire shift. Do you really want to stand for 8 or more hours without so much as sitting down once. Do you want to eat a meal on the fly - standing up. Buc-ee's does not believe in allowing employees to sit down. There is no break room. There are no tables for employees to eat at. You will be expected to work for the entire shift without a break. Any breaks will be minimal such as grabbing a sip of your drink as you pass by the shelf where your cup is. A bite to eat is not a priority of theirs so you'll be eating on the fly or in the spare moment of the day. The only upper management I've seen are all males. I am not familiar with all Buc-ee's but from what I see it is the Good Ol Boys club. No women seem to be in any management positions. I found this odd.

Pros

Simply put the main reason that most people work and deal with the problems put forward to them by this company is simply for the high hourly pay that they afford to entry level positions. When your thirty minutes from a college town and pay $11.00 an hour as a base pay line your going to get people to work there.

Cons

To put it lightly, you are treated horribly by all levels of management above the team leaders, who for their part do their best to mitigate the damage from the higher ups. There really is no consideration for the employee's at all, best example of this is that you get five minutes for a 'snack' when your on an eight hour shift. Not to mention that the break is not guaranteed at all and is dependent upon a managers approval for you to get it at all.

Pros

high pay for low skill work, plenty of hours plus overtime given out, cool co-workers, you get paid every Friday.

Cons

Employee parking lot infested with bugs, flies liter work area, highly stressful environment, management is incompetent, only one fifteen minute break allowed and you have to stand up during it, 8 hour shifts only and you get a little 15 minute break that you can't even sit during.
