Pros

In my experience, the people I worked with were all smart and caring people. We had a good thing going for a long time.

Cons

Upper management makes mistake after mistake and never share in the responsibility. Sold our soul to Sony and now things are deteriorating exactly as anyone with a brain could have predicted: big layoffs, integration with Sony, siphoned employees, all under the promise that we would retain our autonomy.

Pros

Bungie has great health, PTO, 401k and other benefits. Great presence and visibility of leadership and studio direction Review cycles that are in depth and fair

Cons

Really low pay for industry standards and your actual workload Bungie starts people much lower than is acceptable (senior levels coming in as midlevel, midlevel coming in as contract, etc) Upwards mobility is very slow unless you leave the studio and come back or hop on to another team/discipline at a possible pay cut. Tools are internal and horribly archaic. Studio is slow to innovate systems and has a hard time convincing some to move forward.
