Pros

-Better base pay than the average retailer -Uniforms are provided -Good employee discount

Cons

-Absolutely no room for vertical growth, no matter how great your reviews are -After 4 years, I didn't receive a single raise, despite good reviews -Poor communication from corporate and poorly trained management -Despite how hard the sales team worked, they never got any recognition, which made for very poor team morale. Management always chose to concentrate on the negative and spent very little time on the sales floor -Way to much emphasis on capturing emails and introducing people to the digital Burberry. Clients often felt pestered. Also, if a sales associate really tried to commit to the digital goals, their actual sales suffered and they were reprimanded by management -Corporate would visit periodically and never bothered to get feedback from the sales team, or learn how store operations work

Toxic culture in some teams

Pros

Some coworkers are great and genuinely are nice and want to help you

Cons

The con is some coworkers/managers are very toxic which results in very high turnover. Would be wary of the women’s accessories team (handbags, leather goods, soft accessories) as they don’t really treat the more entry level team members with respect, can be very rude to you, and always unreasonably expect you to know everything right from the get go even if you literally just started and are entry level. Also extremely micro managed by this team, to the point it’s almost like why doesn’t the manager just do it themselves.

Pros

Looks great on resume Some amazing talent PTO is incredible for a retailer- black out period only during holidays. You can use your discount at the outlets as well

Cons

Top leadership fake it until they make it. So many of them don’t know what they’re doing and this is why so many GOOD people leave. All you have to do is talk a good game to work here. No one will check if you are truly qualified to do your job.
