Pros

Pros - Functions completely independent from Bureau Veritas. There is definitely some flexibility that probably wouldn't be accepted at BV. - If you are a new engineer, you gain experience for future jobs.

Cons

Cons - Engineers are paid poorly. We are pushed to work overtime but not at an overtime rate. - Many engineers have left. They have not been replaced, but the work remains constant. Juggling too many balls in the air. - Engineers are not paid enough to seriously stress over the work not happening. - Engineering stays clear of the business side of the house. Gossip runs rampant on that side. Those not part of the "den of vipers" are shunned. - Management keeps us in the dark. We have no meeting and have no idea what's happening in this company or at headquarters. - SERIOUS retention issues throughout - for different reasons. - Bottom line - If you're thinking about working here - DON'T.

Pros

*Insurance is ok - there's a free option.

Cons

*You are expected to work more than 40 hours a week every week, but don't get paid overtime. *Management is utterly incompetent and easily angered. *Little to no training or oversight - yet quick to formally reprimand. *Pay is abysmal. *You start at 10 days PTO, that's vacation + sick days - they're all the same.

Pros

Certain divisions have very flexible work schedules and abilities to work from home a few hours a week.

Cons

VERY, very low pay, no stability, minimal raises, required to take the week after Christmas off using PTO or no pay. This company fires on whims, I have seen people from 3 months to 16 years get let go with no warning. This company is only worried about the bottom line and lining the pockets of its shareholders, not its employees.
