Stay away from Curtis Straus/Littleton
Pros
Pros - Functions completely independent from Bureau Veritas. There is definitely some flexibility that probably wouldn't be accepted at BV. - If you are a new engineer, you gain experience for future jobs.
Cons
Cons - Engineers are paid poorly. We are pushed to work overtime but not at an overtime rate. - Many engineers have left. They have not been replaced, but the work remains constant. Juggling too many balls in the air. - Engineers are not paid enough to seriously stress over the work not happening. - Engineering stays clear of the business side of the house. Gossip runs rampant on that side. Those not part of the "den of vipers" are shunned. - Management keeps us in the dark. We have no meeting and have no idea what's happening in this company or at headquarters. - SERIOUS retention issues throughout - for different reasons. - Bottom line - If you're thinking about working here - DON'T.
