Pros

It's a job that could last when the days are good they may be good.

Cons

Burroughs comes off as disorganized and under-prepared as if they are climbing out of debt. You're probably going to have to work most holidays even though holidays are supposed to be your off day (You do get overtime pay). There are huge amounts of turnovers with oversized quantities of training. You're expected to train on almost all of their customer's equipment (like 20+ different manufacturers) you do not get a pay increase for most if not all of those training's. You're left underpaid with no on-call pay, no pay raises, lack of opportunities within the company, etc. Most training's offered you can't use at another company nor is the pay higher there. You do not get any recognized certifications. They don't pay for work pants or shoes. They change rules way too much almost every month most rules only affect the field techs it is like they're a newer company and if they're a start-up it's annoying. They have field service ranks, but it's a joke (read the job descriptions) most of the time you're seen as all the ranks even though the pay is supposed to be different. Oh yeah, you're job is seen as less than field tech jobs are always available for a reason. Burroughs is not a company you can put on the resume. Working for the company my harm your opportunities with other companies that you would prefer to work for.

Pros

The technicians are mostly great people, who are skilled at the job, and willing to help each other. The support staff is also excellent and collaborative. SOME of the management is composed of sensible, honest people.

Cons

They lie to your face, they give insulting raises, and they give you great reviews, and a verbal "atta boy" here and there, but realistically don't value you as a technician. The face of the company, doing the hands-on work, taking care of the end-customers, and they still promise raises, that never happen. 4 years I was there with $0.00 in raises, I brought it up, I got $0.40, in 4 years. In those 4 years, everything got more costly for me, and everyone, but when we brought up raises, we got a sob story about the company having a tough year, no thanks, at all. I would never work for this company again, and some of the middle management, from Ohio, is atrocious.

Cons

no work life balance, no raises, no bonuses, long hours but management will complain about your overtime, little to no training, you will be micromanaged
