Pros

Most of the employees are great and in it for the right reasons. Lots of inspiring, creative people to be around. You'll make life-long friends. Discount is great. Snowboarding is fun. You get to expense partying, lots of it.

Cons

They pay terrible and say "It's good money for Vermont!"...don't be fooled...Burlington is not a cheap place to live. The low pay forces the majority of the people that work there to stay 28 forever...aka you cannot afford to live on your own so before you know it you'll be 36, living with a roommate(s), have zero money saved up, and still out partying with college kids at RiRa's. Sounds awesome...until you wake up and realize you're 36, have a roommate, still live paycheck to paycheck, and your boy puked all over your Burton tee and couch you found on the side of the road (at least both were free! Sidenote: Plato's Closet is your best friend and a great source of side income if you work at Burton. But they won't take the puke stained one, I tried). The upper management is the worst and does not have your back. It's rigged like that time Bush won the election in Florida. Hanging Chad style. Unless you are sleeping with one of them. Then you'll get a promotion that will leave heads scratching. If you work here, make sure you take advantage of Burton before it takes advantage of you. It can either be a great jump off point for your career...or a black hole of depression masked in snowboarding and PBR.

Great company with extremely questionable upper management

Pros

Amazing work environment and passionate co-workers. Company ride days, product discounts, dog-friendly offices.

Cons

On the marketing side, upper-management is a nightmare and holds passionate workers hostage. Nepotism at it's finest, and an established fear protocol for conformity throughout the ranks. Progressive thinkers who go against the grain do not last long.

Pros

Great Perks- Stowe pass, dogs come to work, employee discount, relaxed dress code. Work close with great people who become family. Satisfying benefits.

Cons

Poor pay, expected long hours. Poor training. Promotions happen but to friends of higher management. Glorified High School
