Pros

Free food That's the only thing they have going for them. It use to be really great company when everyone believed in the "businessolver way."

Cons

This whole company is a con! To start off with my own management came to me and said go write a review about businessolver a good one. This company is not good and it's definitely not worth covering up. John and Rae really stopped caring about their employees once they allowed management to change in the Denver office. When I was hired I was told overtime will only last until December. Til this very day we are forced to work overtime. They have let so many people go or forced them to quit that there's not enough support for the clients. A huge part of the problem is management my supervisor has no idea what's going on 90% of time. Promotions are given to people who don't even apply other employees would like to move up but how are they supposed to when there is no one saying there's a job opening available. You are given a promotion by who you hang out with outside of work or if you give good information about other employees to the boss. This is no way a company should be ran. Other employees will be leaving along with myself. This place is a sweat shop. I hope that the better business bureau does an investigation on the harassment in this work place that goes on everyday. I hope this was a "good review".

Although I disagree with your comments about our executives, I personally would never want to work at company that I described as a "sweat shop". In addition, we have zero tolerance for any form of harassment. Please contact me so we can understand your claims and take action if warranted. mklipfel@businessolver.com

Pros

There hasn't been a day that I don't feel challenged as an individual or a professional. We've transformed into a "who are you" to a formidable competitor in the space. Moving to a more structured and process-oriented environment has been challenging and rewarding. You get the best of working for a small and nimble company to learning how to install systems and processes to drive repeatable and consistent outcomes. The clients are great and fun to work with. My roles has changed several times, as expected when you've been with the company over six years. To me, that is one of the best pros about working at Businessolver. There are a lot of growth opportunities within the company. The industry is on fire and the services the company provides is in high demand. The perks are nice. There are a lot of family oriented gatherings (just signed up the kids for an Easter egg hunt) and many volunteer opportunities. All in all, this has been the best place I've ever worked. It's not easy to grow a company and meet the growing demands of the market. I've worked at larger corporations and there are many pros to those companies too. You have to be comfortable with change and growth or things can turn into a "con" quickly. There is a vibrant and "alive" feeling when you walk the halls. There is a buzz and excitement always going on. Occasionally you'll hear the sales group cheering loudly and as they let everyone know what new client is part of the family, which is one of the most fun part about being in the office.

Cons

Every job has its cons and Businessolver is no different. The only major con I see is that some employees quit but stay with the company, which is the worst kind of disengagement. There are not bars on the window and Des Moines is fresh with job opportunities. Please leave. Most of you, if not all of you, are really good people. Maybe this isn't the place for you. Go in peace. Find a place for you. You deserve to find what many of us have found here. This is the best place for us and it's hurtful to see someone tear at the very fabric we're working so hard to build.

Pros

I never knew where I was headed at my previous employer. I was jazzed about the work that I did, but never felt valued. Day one at Businessolver, I was skeptical. Everyone was talking about how fired up and hardworking everyone in the company was, how everyone was willing to help each other. Nearly 3 months later and I couldn't be happier. Businessolver has proven to be everything that they said on day one and more. As I grow into my role and start becoming more confident in my daily duties, I start feeling like Businessolver is just a home away from home. Truly grateful for all of the Solvers out there, especially the CEO and CFO who both make sure to take time to meet with new hires - how humble!

Cons

Not a con for me, however, if you are a person who has trouble feeling motivated or wants a job where they can skate by on average effort - don't apply at Businessolver. This company is truly a hardworking, well oiled machine and is not an environment for folks who aren't determined to succeed.
