A hot, hot mess behind the scenes

Pros

Remote work before Covid Free food and some perks in office Mostly good people and smart workers who genuinely try their best everyday

Cons

Lots of disorganization and lack of communication across the board. A new product will get rolled out and you will be surprised and then get hammered about it when it is failing- with zero context about it. Tech/product are at the mercy of an unclear client and operational strategy. Still catching up to some old and common industry practices. Blame oriented work culture- who messed up and who’s fault when something went wrong instead of addressing failure as symptom of an underlying operational root cause. This is despite faux commitment to “quality” and “quality measures” that look and sound good on paper but do not provide substantial change Uncompetitive PTO/benefits package- for a benefits company, it’s pretty standard. Some employees with severe lack of knowledge on basic benefits administration principles, technology basics, or general good work practices which makes you question hiring/promoting practices Unclear compensation and incentives- never got a straight answer for how bonuses worked, when annual increases happen, and metrics for those.

Pros

only food and snacks and some co-workers are nice.

Cons

Lack of transparency. They need some one who knows everything with 3 days training and suddenly would fire you with no feedback only lies about your poor job performance or experience. managers they do not tell you exactly what they are hiding behind their nice smile and would let you out any time. They won't provide any training for at least 2 weeks, they need you to be perfect from first day how you know their system and information. Managers are not doing their best to help new employees only keep their positions.
