Pros

Since I’ve started with BE I have been extremely happy. So far I have had great and supportive BCBA and coworkers! I began my journey in March and I love it so far. The pay is decent for the Central Valley and despite me working sort of working on my own, I never feel alone. I know that at any given time I have someone that can promptly answer my questions and offer support. I highly recommend as an employer!

Cons

The only cons for me are when the client cancels you don’t get paid unless you use your PTO. But this is something I was aware of before I started.

Pros

-Fun, friendly team who genuinely wants to support your professional development, if you are a good worker, you are recognized for it. -Working with kids on the autism spectrum is really fun and rewarding (Sometimes you get paid to color and play games with REALLY COOL kids!) -The role of an RBT inherently includes a lot of supervision, which is perfect for developing as a social worker, human services professional, psych major, education majors, etc. -Job flexibility -Competitive pay -They help you become a board certified RBT, which can be transferred internationally, across the country, and across a lot of different therapy platforms -Opportunity to work with families to improve their lives -Seriously, a really great and caring team to work for.

Cons

-I was hired fairly recently, and getting a new job during a pandemic can be weird and impersonal (But they try their hardest) -As an RBT, you *are* per diem, which can have some drawbacks if there are cancelations in appointments -Being an RBT, you work closely with one or two people, and may not see a lot of the people employed at BE who are outside of your direct team.
