Pros

Butterfly Effects is the first ABA company that I have worked for that I have no doubt is making ethical decisions and putting the client needs first. The company has made many changes over the last several years and continues to make strides in compensation and benefits. The company has many opportunities for advancement and opportunities for clinicians interested in areas other than clinical management including training, marketing and management.

Cons

In home services is a setting for individuals who are comfortable with flexibility and ever changing schedules.

Thank you for your feedback. In many aspects of health care, home service providers hire only seasoned team members because of the independence and autonomy associated with the provision of care in the home setting. In ABA therapy, we do not have such a luxury as the industry is too new and the resources quite limited. I know that it is our responsibility as an employer to create the support and training to integrate and advance the skills and professionalism of each team member we hire. I hope you will join us in maturing that vision with your insight and experience in the field and with the Company.

Growing Pains

Pros

A solid ABA organization. High standards, committed to the client and family, "purpose before task", investment on branding, mission, service promise. President takes time to hold town hall meetings to update everyone on changes or happenings. No tech goes out to sub untrained or any of the crazy stuff that happen in other ABA organizations.

Cons

Unfortunately when dealing with people many or all tasks may have a purpose. In order to get all of those tasks done many extra hours are required. Multiple things are changing at once making it difficult to keep up with the changes and the demands also causing extra hours of work. Work can become very intrusive in personal life.

Thank you for taking the time to compose a review. Work-life balance absolutely does matter and I think that as the ABA therapy industry continues to evolve, we will see changes that other medical model health care entities have witnessed. The demand for ABA therapy services from qualified providers is growing tremendously and the availability of services is simply outweighed by such demand. It is hard to say 'no' to the family that is waiting and wondering when they will be able to receive services and the impact that the wait time might have on their son or daughter. We are passionate about what we do and our compassion, not only in this company, but in this industry sometimes drives us to push further to provide services where needed. I understand and appreciate your comments. Thank you for a timely reminder on how we must take care of our team members in order to take care of our clients and families!

Pros

My supervising BCBA couldn't be more supportive. She is easy to reach and always ready to listen and provide advice. Both my direct supervisor and regional supervisor have let me know that they feel I am a vital part to our team and this (in my opinion) is SUPER important.

Cons

I have been with the company for a while and have consistently expressed my desire to be full time. In our region, it seems we just don't have enough clients for RBTs to get full time hours. This has made it necessary for me to have 2 jobs to support myself because I do not want to leave BE.

Thank you for your feedback. We currently operate in 30 markets and depending upon payer mix, you are correct, full-time hours can be difficult to attain. Please make sure that HR is aware of your desire to increase hours. Sometimes we are in the midst of making strategic decisions related to markets and it is helpful to have all of the information at our disposal to make the best decisions. We have many clients looking for great Techs and access is a primary focus. Interested to understand what market you reside in today.
