Pros

I have been working at Butterfly Effects in New Orleans, LA as a BCBA for over a year, and I absolutely love it! The company provides competitive pay for Behavior Analysts and offers outstanding support to all staff members. BCBAs have regular weekly meetings with the leadership team, and technicians receive guidance from their BCBAs along with additional training from lead therapists. Butterfly Effects also prioritizes professional development, offering CEUs throughout the year. The caseloads for BCBAs are very manageable, and if additional clients are added, a lead technician can be assigned to assist with support. Butterfly Effects has been a fantastic company to grow with as a BCBA, always encouraging and promoting opportunities for growth within the organization. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to advance in their career as a BCBA!

Cons

One initial concern I had was about working for such a large ABA company. I worried that I might feel lost or have trouble navigating the various systems Butterfly Effects uses. However, the leadership team has been incredibly supportive in helping me find my way. They’ve guided me through processes like collaborating with schools, conducting parent trainings, and working with multiple technicians, which at first felt overwhelming. While working for a big company can sometimes make it tricky to know who to contact or which protocols to follow, I’ve always found the leadership team ready and willing to walk me through any questions or concerns I have. In the end, I’ve felt very supported throughout my time at Butterfly Effects. The opportunity for growth is always encouraged, and the team is dedicated to helping you succeed, no matter the size of the company. If you’re looking for a place to grow as a BCBA, Butterfly Effects is a great option.
