Pros
* lots of learning opportunities * fast-paced * population under 30 is probably about 70% of the company * great space to work in * family oriented friendly * flat organization, you can talk to anyone even the CEO
Cons
* long hours, non existence of work/life balance * not everyone is treated the same way/fairly * great work not recognized * no support/training after the initial start * salaries are awful compared to the amount of work/long hours * promotion just means more work for the same pay I started at the company right after college just like a lot of the new employees that work there. For the first few months it's not too bad as they get you up to speed and show you what you would be doing. Then you wait for them to assign you you're first client and the excitement begins...so you think. Over time you learn that it's not what you think at all. You WILL work on average of about 60 or more hours per week and if you have a social life kiss it goodbye. It seems that if you're a parent of kids then you get treated differently then a kid who just graduated from college and just starting out your career. The company will do things like "recognize" people, free summer lunches, ice cream socials and so on to cover up the fact that their employees are unhappy. It isn't to say that everyone is unhappy cause there are people who work there that are treated extremely well and those who are not have no idea why. So if you want to learn things about non-traditional market research tools then it's a great company to work for and get your feet wet. But after a year or however how much crap you can take then it's time to leave. Take your knowledge and apply it somewhere else. So don't judge a book by it's cover, on the outside they look like a fun, hip and enjoyable company to work for (yes the people who interview you will lie to your face) but inside they are a cold-heartless company who will use you and spit you back out when they are done.
