Kids are great, don't have to deal with disgruntled parents (of which there are many!) unless you're a center director, hours are flexible and it's very easy to have a life if you want

Cons

It is all about the money for these people and they really only do the bare minimum to hide it. There are kids whose parents believe the fearmongering that center directors are expected to perform and they get stuck coming in for mostly unnecessary tutoring 2 hours a day, 4 days a week. We are expected to only use C2 workbooks (that the kids have to pay for) so class time is extremely formulaic.

Please know that we believe in our students and in their potential for greatness. Focusing on the core of quality education, we have a passion for learning, improving through knowledge, devotion to the student, and the vision that every student is different but can break past their limits with proper guidance and support. C2’s comprehensive tutoring system ensures that our teachers are able to provide tailored and interactive instruction while providing an environment in which no student is ever being given a cookie-cutter lecture. And it works. 85% of C2 students are accepted at a top 50 college! We are so proud of our students, teachers and Center staff for all they have acheived together.

Poor management. Limited if Any raises. No paid holidays. Hours inconsistent, limited creativity. No where to advance

It is so rewarding to work on a team that seeks to inspire the students and each other, pursuing goals with relentless energy and we're glad you could be part of that process. At C2, we are committed to providing fair and competitive compensation to our employees. We consistently review and make adjustments to our pay structures to support a culture of accountability and performance at all levels of the organization. Currently, we don’t provide holiday pay for part-time employees. We do pay full-time employees for holidays (7 per year plus an additional 2 floating days are provided as well). Thank you for your contribution and bringing these incredible students closer to their dreams.

Pros

Students are very much motivated and are willing to learn, which makes for a high-energy working environment overall. The other tutors on average are smart and easy to work with.

Cons

Work morale is low due to poor management; they're not hostile by any means, but there is simply a relative lack of communication between tutors and managers, which gives way for some confusion when tutoring/counseling students.
