Pros

• Hard working, highly intelligent, supportive people. • Growing at an amazing rate. • Amazing benefits. • Invests a lot in employees, incentivizes learning. • High accountability. • No egos that I've experienced, focused on the solution and making an impact. • Exposure to a variety of industries. • Preference towards internal promotions. • Open to new ideas, encourages team bonding.

Cons

• Dated ideology on remote work. • Very quick iterations, which has resulted in functionality gaps, poor documentation, and incomplete toolsets. • Good amount platform knowledge that is only gained through experience. To comment on some of the remarks around working long hours or on weekends: From my experience, it is very uncommon to be asked explicitly to do so. I would attribute it to the high degree of accountability and ownership within the company combined with employees wanting to compete with the standards of those who willingly choose to work long hours. Work-life balance, in my opinion, is what you make it here and I would expect bonuses/promotions are, in part, reflective of that.

Pros

- The people you directly work with are amazing, kind, and intelligent. It has been an incredible and humbling experience over the past few years to work with people who are are both so talented and yet willing to lend a helping hand when they're already very busy. - Problems can be very challenging which makes it engaging. - People, again. I cannot overemphasize how amazing the people you work directly with are at C3ai. That is the main factor that has kept me at this company.

Cons

-Leadership does not show enough concern for their employees despite saying the employees are the company's greatest asset. - Leadership have been trying to get employees back to the office since last June (after refusing to allow WFH until just about every other company had their employees working from home for a week or more). Each time, as cases rapidly increased, they pushed the return to office date back. They even got the company labeled an "essential business" so they could reopen offices despite employees doing a great job from the safety of their own residence. - Several employees have left over the past year due to the company's handling of the pandemic and how employees are treated while others are looking for new roles. I fear that the very people that make this such a special place will leave due to the leadership's lack of concern for their employees. -You will work long hours and, usually, at least some weekends. Most employees do not mind, but if this is something that you are not okay with, this is probably not the place for you. -Employees are scared to speak up, especially to leadership. This is exactly why so many mark negative reviews as helpful but do not post their own. The leadership do not ask employees to leave positive reviews, but they have said things like glassdoor reviews are very important for our growth and "investors look at glassdoor", implying that employee stock values are tied to how positive the reviews on glassdoor are. This is why there are a number of reviews from late Nov/early Dec around the IPO and in the past week.

C3 AI Response
5y
It is true that, consistent with Glassdoor-provided best practices, we have always encouraged employees to post on Glassdoor. We have never asked employees to leave positive reviews. As it relates to COVID, C3 AI has always and continues to adopt best-practice protocols globally. In response to COVID, all office operations were closed globally beginning in March 17, 2020. Beginning on that date, 100% of C3 AI employees worked from home. The great majority of C3 AI employees still work from home today, some 13 months later. As C3 AI is a critical infrastructure provider, beginning in June 1, 2020, some employees began to work in the Redwood City headquarters office on a strictly voluntary basis in compliance with local regulations. In addition to encouraging all employees to get vaccinated and the adoption of best-practice protocol guidelines provided by the CDC and State of California, C3 AI provides mandatory Shield T3 saliva PCR testing twice a week for all employees who work from headquarters. The Shield T3 protocol identifies the presence of COVID before a person becomes infectious, essentially guaranteeing a safe working environment. There have been no positive Shield T3 COVID test results at C3 AI. All C3 AI offices continue to operate in compliance with best-practices and local regulations.
