Pros

- Work in the office: yes this is a pros for me. I'd love to meet and talk people everyday without worrying about who's not going showing up on what days of the week. -Great product and interesting work, AI Suite is a good product in general and the work here is generally interesting. -Great culture, people work here are capable and friendly.

Cons

-No free lunch in the DC office

Pros

- Straightforward onboarding process - Great 2 week training program for technical roles - Quickly start contributing impact through application development rotation over weeks 3 through 8 - A bunch of internal demos/initiatives to keep everyone engaged (even for services/customer-facing roles)

Cons

Stemming from CEO's views on remote work, the vibes around asking for flexibility in work location are very awkward (even if only asking for a single day). Middle management seems to be okay with a little remote work, but they don't want to say anything concrete that could make them look poorly from the senior leaders/C suite's POV.

Pros

- Lots of cool projects and you get exposed to various areas regularly. Cross-team work between federal and commercial teams. - The interesting subject matter of a defense contractor but with the tech skills and wow-factor of the Bay Area's engineering. - Federal customers trust us and do not dictate our software roadmaps & decisions like they do with the majority of defense contractors. - Startup vibe without the insane hours. - Coworkers are all excellent to be around and incredibly intelligent and reliable - Compensation and career growth are superb. - Boundaries are largely respected and the demands of the job are very reasonable - Silicon Valley tech's perks in Virginia location - Occasional work travel is interesting - Interviewers were very honest about all of the great and not-so-great, so you join with full visibility of what's coming. I feel like I got exactly what I signed up for and it seems none of my coworkers are disappointed either

Cons

- Inflexible with remote work/location, even though FDE is often a remote job - PTO is not very competitive, especially since we do not have flex holidays - Core hours allow flexibility for errands, but still not quite flex time. - No 401K match or after-tax 401K. Total comp makes up for it though.
