Steady employment Reasonable benefits Responsive HR team

Cons

Lower level management appears to care but upper management does not understand the value of paying people what they are worth. I wonder why sub-par performers get the same raise as I do. Not impressed with my co-workers. I must just not be "Employee Owner Material". Poor work life balance

I have been with CALIBRE for over 10 years and I have to say that you know you are working for an employee-owned company your first day on the job. It just feels different...everyone working together to benefit the company/each other. Great benefits, talented workforce, and great leadership...all the way to the President & CEO! The work is enjoyable and meaningful and CALIBRE truly does take care of its own. We are not a company that hires employees for a position and when that contracts end, so does your employment. Everything that can be done is done to find a suitable follow-on position. Furthermore, employees are encouraged to move around within the company and are provided with a Career Management Program tool that makes it easy for employees and managers and sync up for the benefit of everyone. There are many avenues to effect change within CALIBRE, including an open door policy with every manager--including the CLT and CEO, quarterly meetings, breakfasts with the CEO, an employee ownership advisory committee (that has a rep on the BoD), and a CALIBRE Renewal Team comprised of employees that meet with leadership to bring items of concern/interest and/or recommendations for change forward. Our company reorganizes as necessary to maintain currency and relevancy with our customer set. There are no hirings, firings, or frequent reorganizations at the leadership level as one reviewer has indicated. All changes are well thought out and done in a purposeful manner to better position the company.

Cons

The individuals who have written negative reviews were likely not CALIBRE material in the first place. We are all provided every opportunity to learn and grow and contribute and bring issues forward...what we do after that is on us.
