Pros

I love cars but you don't have to in order to love working for this company. Carvana provides a fast paced, ever changing environment, so being flexible and having the ability to wear many hats is a must. Rapid expansion will lead to future growth so it's important to always look towards the future. Advocates have autonomy to make decisions and voice opinions when it comes to new ideas. We also work with the developers to enhance the website and improve the customer experience. The idea of putting the customer in control and offering a no pressure online sales experience is unrivaled in the current automotive industry.

Cons

The growing pains of a start up can be challenging at times. it's a good problem to have compared to the alternative of not selling any cars.

Pros

I am attracted to the energy and creative spirit that is the driving force behind growing businesses. I was naturally drawn to culture at Carvana and I believe that the world is a better place when people love what they do, which is what working here has been. It’s more than the free drinks, cool office, and fun events (although I love those things too!) I am passionate about Carvana and love that the company works to channel ideas in a positive direction, while recognizing that things can always be improved: whether it is a product, system or process. We all work together to continuously challenge each other to improve. The best work environment is one that attracts risk takers and embraces spirit, courage, creativity and decisiveness. I really appreciate the open communication, transparency, and the fact that we all look for opportunities to share ideas to help people be their best.

Pros

I moved to Arizona from NYC and wasn't sure what to expect from the companies in Phoenix. After about five weeks at Carvana, I am really impressed with the culture and the caliber of people working here. "Startup" culture can mean a lot of things, but at Carvana it seems to mean that: -everyone is learning as they go and collaborating to make sure that a variety of perspectives go into decisions -you need to be autonomous; no one is going to hold your hand or ask you if you completed your work. It's important to be a self-starter and rise to challenges -leadership is incredibly smart and (luckily) honest about the ambiguity of the company's future growth. It's evident that the company is doing well and will only get bigger, but the rate of that growth is pretty up in the air and flexible.

Cons

As I mentioned before, you need to be a go-getter to love this environment. If you like to do things rather than talk about doing things, you'll love it here. It's not the right environment for anyone looking to be given praise at the completion of every task, but when you really contribute everyone notices and thanks you for being proactive.
