      Just another engineering "temp" agency

      Pros

      Good guys out there doing the work. They're dedicated, and strive for the best results despite the limited support from upper management.

      Cons

      The executive management that I saw was... ethically challenged, to say the least. I was lied to about the job I was being brought on for, basically I was a political heat-shield to cover up management screw-ups that cost the customer millions of dollars. At this point, CBRE is just a "temp" agency for engineering talent. That's how you're treated, that's how they see you, so don't make the mistake of thinking this is a career-enhancing place to be (unless you can ignore ethical considerations).

      Pros

      For me the pros are the remote day program, they do a lot of outing for the employees. They have a laid back atmosphere regarding work attire.

      Cons

      The pay is low, people are pushed into jobs they don't want. Currently my manger does not have as much experience as I do on our client and he didn't want to be a manager, but they said he had to take the job. Working for someone with no management experience and less client experience is very challenging. They do not require current managers to go to management training but highly suggest it if you are interested in moving into management. Also, upper management will define a policy and not stick to it. I have had 2 people moved to different positions within the company after being in their position for less than 6 months.

      Pros

      Respectable company, and they provide their employees a ton of resources to be better at the job or participate in bettering the local community. Global scope of the company also is exciting, especially when you work in a market that interacts on a worldwide scale.

      Cons

      Older corporate culture, very buttoned down, not ideal for millenials. I would have enjoyed time there more if the brokers at the top of the food chain didn't act as if they walked on water.
