Pros

-PTO accrual is good. -Work/life balance is ok -Benefits are normal like any other factory job -Work isnt hard once you know what youre doing

Cons

-Terrible and Biased management. Terrible communication between them and the employees. Also, terrible communication between operators on other shifts. Management hasn't done anything to mitigate this and there is a fair amount of NOT holding people accountable. With this comes favoritism abound with employees getting away with breaking cGMPs and other big infractions while jumping all over newer employees for minor infractions. -0 Training and 0 compensation for training. New operators are thrown into the fire and are expected to gain all the knowledge of running these 50,60 year old machines with little guidance and for those that do train, there is nothing in compensation and are given no feedback or direction on what these employees should know at what point. -Forced use of PTO/Sick time in events of A. Snow days B. Blackout days and C. Week shutdowns due to a holiday (ie. July 4th, whole plant closes for the week but employees must use their own time to make up for the days not covered by the holiday). This might not irk everyone, but its asinine to make employees chose between not getting paid, or using time they worked hard to accrue to cover a state emergency road ban or a plant wide decision to close the plant for the week. This company has more than enough to compensate the shifts for the 1 or 2 days that its closed. -No recognition and no room for promotions Its either be a press operator and get terrible percentage raises every year (you can lose a whole raise for 1 minor infraction within that year, also depends on whether they ''like'' you or not) or just apply for higher-up positions. Thats it. Theres a reason why positions other than floor employees (packagers, material handlers, operators) are saying "hey its a good place!" because they are not out there doing what we have to do. The disparage between those who make the products and have to consistently deal with the hundreds of problems each day vs those in any other position off the floor is huge.

Pros

Paid vacation. Decent amount of PTO. Pay out PTO.

Cons

Terrible raises. Terrible communication with supervisors and co workers. No room for improvement. Only way to make more money with this company is to go for a higher position than what you’re in. Biased supervisors.
