raises have become almost obsolete. the last couple of years everybody's raise was less than the cost of living increase. more people with degrees and no experience telling the ones with experience their doing it wrong

Too many managers and engineers trying to make a craftsman job into a push a button job which wont work. No motivational advice at all. Operate by threatening writes up if job is not done right
