      CDI has gone through tough changes over the years.

      Pros

      The people in the Houston office are generally nice and friendly.

      Cons

      With so many company presidents and other changes in upper management plus the challenge of getting new engineering projects over the years have left CDI not in the strong position in the market as several years ago. Back then there were hundreds of employees at the old local office. Now there is a small remnant of core employees.

      Pros

      The local management in Baton Rouge is great. They have a good history with their clients. Work hours are flexible and most managers are willing to accommodate special needs for schedules.

      Cons

      The corporate structure is concerning, with new managers being added every so often. There has been a top down push for QC and creating procedures for everything. Work sharing between offices is troublesome. The other offices tend to want to do things 'their way" rather than follow the lead of the office providing the work.

      - No placement help when contract ends - Benefits & 401k only available after 1 year of employment - Benefits very expensive
