Pros

-Fantastic training and support from upper management (area manager, VP and president) they are very accessible and WANT to help! -Opportunity to grow and develop a book of business -Ability to book in person meetings with decision makers (CFOs, Accounting Managers, Controllers, HR) -ESOP program -Decent base salary

Cons

-Local management micromanages (asking where you're at on a task multiple times in the day) -Local management picks favorites and if you are not the favorite good luck with making a lot of commission (you do not control the whole sales process in this role) - Bad temporary candidates will sometimes get second chances at a second client after messing up and getting pulled from the first client (this doesn't help you get repeat business) -Nashville market is saturated with staffing agencies, so you're competing with 15-20 other staffing agencies for a client's business -Bill rates for temporary services are often higher than other firms (according to clients)

Pros

Nice coworkers Decent pay Good benefits You get a laptop

Cons

Long hours Very little support Minimal Training Working off the clock and on weekends I came in as a brand new recruiter with a sales background. When I interviewed with them they told me that I would receive continuous training and they will not give up on me until I fully grasp the job. They kept telling me that this would be a marriage and not a date because they truly care about each person they bring on to the team. I struggled in the position and while they tried to help me with scripts and suggested methods, I never really felt like I had a chance to learn how to properly do the job. After a few weeks I could see the team slowly giving up on me and I felt isolated at my desk. With less than 30 days on the job I was released without warning. If you are interested in recruiting and would like to try out the industry I would not recommend working for this company as your first. If you don't get it quickly you will be let go at the drop of a dime.

Pros

I had no previous sales/recruiting experience, but CFS welcomed me with open arms and provided the training required and tools to succeed. If you are the type of person who can work independently and are self-motivated, it is a great atmosphere, you will not be micro-managed which coming from a previous position in which I was, it was a breath of fresh air. They also have a company wide business casual (jeans) policy dress code. I also like that the VP's (Sr. Leadership) provide direct communication with all levels of employees, if you want to discuss a challenge you are facing, upper management welcomes a call and will take the time to discuss and work through it with you.

Cons

While you are provided a base salary + commission, there are no annual merit increases on your actual base (i.e. 1-3%) typically applied for inflation purposes.
