Pros

The leadership group at CFS is committed to my success as a recruiter are ready to help with direction and the right tools when I meet new challenges. At every turn I'm glad to be part of this team. I meet top talent through our CPA firm affiliate, an advantage other recruiters in my market do not have. I hear directly from the President of CFS and VPs with congratulations, support and fresh ideas regularly. The ongoing training is excellent.

Cons

CFS is based out of Boston, my office is on the West Coast. Sometimes this can cause a small challenge with communication between time zones. My manager makes himself available to me in the evening hours to help alleviate this issue as much as possible.

Pros

good training program and affiliated with a local CPA firm

Cons

Micro management all the way, your peers are your biggest competitors and there is no teamwork, management only cares about numbers and is not practical. They will control what time you get into the offfice, what time you eat lunch, what time you leave and what you do every minute of the day. If you are not on schedule, you will immediately get questioned. Bad moral and its not a fun work environment.

Pros

The benefit package is not bad and they do provide you with what they feel is good training.

Cons

They hire staffing people to come in and make cold calls, so you're basically telemarketing.

Pros

- Excellent, hands-on training conducted by company executives such as the VP - Potential to earn a lot of money - Laid-back environment (in my local office, as well as with corporate) - Support from upper-level management - Affiliation with CPA firm adds value to compete with other staffing firms - Autonomy to run your own desk as an Executive Recruiter - Great work/life balance (40 hour work weeks)

Cons

- Lack of support at a local level due to competing directly with your peers - Competing with your peers can create of negativity/drama in the local office - CFS is a small fish in a large sea of staffing firms - Takes a while to actually start earning your commission and the base salaries are very low - Like any sales job, you are judged based on your production and everyone in your office knows how much you are making.

Pros

The training at CFS is incredible and starts from day one where you are given the tools to perform immediately. Obviously everyone works to make money and the commission structure is best you will find but more than that you are acknowledged for your hard work by management and you want to do well to see the company succeed. This is a company where the most senior levels of management know your name and always have a positive comment to share you are not just a number.

Cons

Not a ton of room for career advancement if you are looking for a management track.

Pros

There is a lot of support within the organization. Great training internally. High ethical standards compared to other agencies. Connected to CPA firms

Cons

There are really none that I have come across yet. Offices located around the nation and support at a corporate level is available through a phone call.
