Pros

You get paid check weekly

Cons

- the leaders sensei train you meaning if you already exhausted yourself trying to find an answer and you go to your leader for help they’re gonna ask you more questions instead of helping you. - the owner has a policy of “ask him anything” but then we you ask him. He doesn’t answer you and hides behind his keyboard. - The company publicizes themselves as giving back to the community but they don’t take care of their own employees - There’s no rapid growth within the company, the owner himself says you can’t skip multiple roles up. That’s not a thing. So if you apply make sure you’re shooting straight up to the highest role/salary first because you won’t get there in years… - your day to day is full of meetings that aren’t efficient at all. More like busy work. - if they do try to promote you, it’s against your will. So watch out when they try to change your title. Ask questions before moving because all of a sudden you have more meetings and more responsibilities and the increase in your pay doesn’t make sense for the new work you’re given - keep track of any OT payment you agree to do, they don’t keep track and if you don’t - you’ll never get paid for it - if you don’t comply with what they tell you to do, you’ll start to see retaliation. Such as your work becoming sabotaged by your supervisor changing the process in which you do things. So document everything you do with screenshots.

Pros

You will make decent money and they will make you feel special until they no longer feel you are of value Discount at cafe inside

Cons

As soon as one of the managers decide they don't like you they will retaliate against you and bring others in on it to get you out. Very clique like group. I loved my career there possibly more than anyone and planned to be there for years to come but they saw little to no value in me and got me out the second they could. They have an "all managers are on the same mindset" policy and instead of working for their employees they work for themselves. Management also have clear favorites/will call specific employees over to sell high ticket items-i.e. mattresses, Coworkers can steal your sales at no consequences and they'll even make you feel crazy for being upset about it.

Pros

Some decent people unfortunately they're exiting quickly.

Cons

This review is the experience from the business/corporate offices. First off, this is a family business and when you peel back the onion an abundance of dysfunction surfaces. I can speak to the areas that I experienced -throughout all the main areas of the business offices that make up merchandise, marketing, HR, ecommerce, design and creative you will find that most of those in lead or favorable positions are either family, friends, cousins, sisters, brothers, nephews, buddies from high school, friend of a friend, family members, girlfriend and so on and on…. This is not a company that welcomes experience and fresh ideas that usually come from those that possess real diverse company experiences- as they would rather keep those they know close to the vest and controlled, its certainly not a fair playing field. There are some in management roles who got there just because of their association to that inner circle and unfortunately not based on merit, experience and value and that just adds to workplace bitterness, high turnover ratios and unhappy, unproductive work environments. There’s quite a bit of animosity among the individual business teams as well, where instead of working together it seems there is more focus on exercising undermining behaviors that make themselves look better. Advice, if you have a solid work background with valid experience in your respective area, please do yourself a favor, look elsewhere; don’t waste your time here.
