the experience of working for the railroad , and the many benefits it offers

the many options for growth , the pay is good , the pension is very good , they treat you well , good training available for whatever position you apply for

Cons

you start on the bottom level , the 24 hour shift hours are hard to get used to , especially the midnight shift , days off are never just the weekend , could be mid-week , tough to schedule things
