Cons

No time for a family life, work until you can work no longer. There is always a problem someone will try to pass on to the next guy. Get yell at because you can not be in more than one spot at one time. The stress never end only real time off, is scheduled holidays. Need to be available 24/7

Pros

Pay check is great, plus its one of the best pensions in canada, plus amazing stock options (biggest investor is bill gates, look it up) youre looking at about 23 / hr for about 4-6 months training and then youre making 30 / hr for working in yard or about 45 / hr for road jobs. They even have spare boards where you sit on call with ur cell glued to ur face while you stare at that second beer you know you shouldnt drink.... stressful that is but you make the salary you wouldve made if you were actually working lol Outdoors job!!! -40c... windy... get out there!!

Cons

it varies from city to city ok everybody.... but CN is a way of life job, youll be doing nights 5 days a week or on the road barely ever home.... thats why it pays well... youll be thinking of rules/regulations off pay.... you'll never leave your cell.... you might get cut in half or squashed and theres statistics that show it happens a lot, dangerous job... totally worth it as long as your not stuck in a train with a nonhuman.

Pros

Interesting work, Promotion possibilities, money, pension however there is a cost you have to put in long hours and don't ask why just do it attitude. Very political organization, must be able to navigate with the players.

Cons

Toxic senior leader makes life hard for everyone within the group, micro manages never delegates and has convoluted processes that must be followed even for the simplistic activity or project.
