Not worth your trouble

Pros

Money is good from the street level. Pension is okay and benefits aren't too bad

Cons

Co Workers Time off Forced overtime (everything is an emergency) Front line supervisors Upper management HR and LR Reps (they hold your career in their hands and dont give two farts in the wind about you) They will routinely tell you that its an emergency and you can and will be punished and penalized for needing to leave. They state that they care about the employees and their families but in all reality its a bold faced lie, your family is your problem and your manager will make sure you understand that they give up their time so you should as well. Your co workers will stab you in the back at a moments notice without hesitation to make sure that they look better than you. Front line managers will always act aggressively towards you. Your time off is not yours, they can and will call you after hours and on days off (normally this isn't an issue to be honest) but it can become routine. Most track services areas are overworked and burning out to the point of a toxic environment that the company fails to address. with all being said and done there is still a place for people that are A) single B) workaholics C) Dont know better D) Have no interests beside their work life E) Are willing to tow the company line and be good little soldiers

RRSP plan, CN shares(33% less than the actual price)

Cons

- changing road map and projects after approval - Lots of non-sence meetings everyday - Very hard to get promoted - Aweful HR department - No Support from upper managers - 2 massive layoffs in 3 years
