Excellent pay - Good 401K and bonus structure along with merit pay increases Opportunity for the aggressive Excellent education and training support

Cons

Your boss may be behind the times. Some are clock watchers. If you don't have a college degree don't expect to get anywhere but they still hire people without degrees.

Pros

CNA has a great rotation program for new actuaries. This is a deffinite pro for someone just starting their actuary career. It gives the employee the oppurtunity to work in different departments and work with different products that the company offers.

Cons

The benefits package seem to be comparable to the competitors however they are on the lower end of the spectrum.

Pros

Salaries are competitive in IT, good benefits. Flexible work hours, convenient downtown location close to all Chicago downtown attractions, restaurants, parks, etc. For someone willing to excel, opportunities are there.

Cons

Can be slow at times, getting approval from multiple levels may be needed even for standard tasks. Lack of enough communication between various teams/groups.
