      A Lifetime Career with COCC

      Pros

      I have been in the workforce for almost 10 years and COCC was the second company I had worked for after college. I am so happy it didn't take half of my career to find a company that I will call "home" for my career. I look forward to going into work not only for the work that I do there but also for the amazing people that I work with. COCC has also been outstanding through this entire pandemic. They have been very communicative and straightforward with all of their intentions and they truly care what is going on in your life that may affect your ability to work your normal hours or return to work when they fully reopen. I expect to spend the next 30+ years at COCC and people who are looking for a lifetime career should really consider COCC!

      Cons

      Every company has politics. COCC is no exception, but the pros really outweigh the cons.

      A Company That Cares

      Pros

      COCC is a company that cares about its employees and customers. As a cooperative, it can focus on doing the right thing, rather than simply focus on making profits. This is why the company is so financially and culturally strong. I have been witness to this for many years as an employee here. One example is that they recently gave each employee a significant amount of money to help out with work-from-home expenses. They didn't have to but it is a huge help in such challenging times. It is a great place to work hard, learn, collaborate with others, and build a career.

      Cons

      Employees really are relied upon to do a great job. It's not like a big company/entity where you can skate by doing minimal work.

      Management at COCC treats employees with respect, and values their opinions

      Cons

      COCC focuses too much on "workplace perks" and workers would rather see those benefits impact their pay instead of occasional free lunches

      Thanks for the comment! While we do put a lot of effort into providing unique work perks, we are performing a compensation study to ensure that our salaries remain competitive. We continue to look actively at both initiatives – keeping salaries competitive and offering enjoyable work perks – to keep a great workplace culture that is fun and rewarding!
