Poor Management. Bad decisions and no sales force.

Pros

Work around town with multiple customers. Some of whom weren't angry at the company.

Cons

Heavy load due to many engineers leaving and work being dumped on new guys. Many projects were already in the red and some were poorly managed/should never have been started. Worked 7 straight weekends and Couldn't get a day off. Some customers were very unhappy and new guy took the brunt. Remotely managed from Canada and poor communication.

Pros

Paid hourly with options to work basically as much as your want. Paid travel time, double rate on Sundays and good per diem. Easy to make 1.5-2x your base by traveling a week or two a month. Company growing rapidly.

Cons

Some travel is unavoidable and can come in waves. With lots of growth comes lots of new and young faces often. The battle comes with keeping standards consistent with a workforce made of a significant number of<1 year of experience employees.
