Pros

CORT cares about the people. I came here for that reason several years ago, and still feel the same. Although a medium sized organization, it has a "mom and pop shop" feel when you visit each district. The company is still successfully growing after over 40 years in business. There is room for growth and development. The turnover overall is low. When people do leave, I often see them decide to return, or share how much they miss the culture of CORT at their new place of employment.

Cons

The physical work can be hard on the body if you are not careful, especially during hot and cold seasons.

The hours are very long so do not plan on a great family life. The pay is not wonderful either. Only opportunities available are if you are willing to relocate.

Pros

Some coworkers are fun to work with. The CORT brand awareness is strong making "selling" pretty straight forward. Training program is being improved.. slowly.

Cons

Management talks down to everyone no matter their experience/rank, then they put on a happy face when big Whigs are in town. They don't empower employees who have proven their aptitude and have senior titles. All this combined with a lacking compensation and commission plan. The trade off just isn't there.
