Many of us, who was good at our jobs and very familiar with the technical environment and the business requirements were suddenly displaced. A smaller subset was trained to do the jobs we've been doing for 10 plus years, and given 30 days to learn. Many of us were told "you've done nothing wrong, management is moving in a new direction". The whole experience left us feeling used / betrayed / devastated. Those left behind were left holding a bag of inexperienced employees surrounded by outsourced "assets" and management who's mantra became "Yes, Ma'am".

Most of the IT shop is being outsourced or moved off-shore. Many long time employees have been laid off, only after training their off-shore replacement. Off shore temporary employees do not have the care and/or quality in the service provided to the Country Financial business and agent community. The new CIO recently hired was the Target Chief Officer that was in charge during the great security breach. It is of great concern one will happen before long at Country now that much of the IT staff are temporary offshore programmers.
