Pros
Flexible schedule. If you're put in a good office you won't have someone over your shoulder all day, provided your benchmark numbers are satisfactory. Made a lot of great friends. Salary + Health day one.
Cons
All of the other reviews are accurate. Very stubborn company. Way too conservative. Technology is on par with 1995. Underwriting is ridiculous and will find a way to kill your deals. P&C prices ARE NOT competitive in the least. Life underwriting takes up to 90 days! After you blow through your personal sphere you are going to have difficulty unless you have COI's referring people that don't shop around. Very high turnover. If you are thinking of taking a position as a financial rep, consider all the reviews on Glassdoor before leaving the job you have now.
