Pros

A pay check. that's all.

Cons

I have been at Crossmark several years. In that time the company has been bought and sold at least twice! Every new owner gives us more hoops to jump through, more little tasks (with NO added pay!), more restrictions and conditions to adhere to; the noose just gets tighter and tighter! I have been layed-off 3 times in the years I've been here and twice I was notified by EMAIL! My supervisor DIDN'T EVEN TAKE THE TIME TO CALL ME IN PERSON! My supervisor constantly complains about people quitting on her (DUH!!!) I have not had a raise in over two years, but Inflation continues to skyrocket!!!Part-timers (EVERYBODY is part-time!) don't get any paid vacation, holidays or sick days! I've been with Crossmark longer than I care to admit and I am still only making $15 an hour! Recently EVERYBODY in the company was REQUIRED to sign a waiver "CONSENTING" to GPS tracking on our company provided device (phone, tablet)! So if you finish working at 5PM and decide to stop at a bar, strip club, gun shop, WHATEVER- than they know where you are AFTER working hours! The device is assigned to you, you have to have it with you at all times because you are responsible for it! Screw that noise! These are SOME of the reasons I'm on Indeed looking for a DIFFERENT job! Crossmark is a revolving door company on the decline.

Pros

1. Challenging - Collaboration - Team Building - Autonomy - Competitive Entry Pay - Great Clients - Opportunities to Cross Train 2. New parent company WIS (mainly the new CEO- Jim Rose) is really good. I always felt like he had his finger on the pulse of each piece of the company, and knew the strengths, opportunities, and areas needing addressed. He acknowledged known issues, presented a clear and concise plan of action, and celebrated successes at every level of the company- He showed a true investment in making Crossmark a better company utilizing the breadth and strength of WIS to the betterment of Crossmark- be a shame to loose him. 3. There are some phenomenally knowledgeable and talented people there who are true team players one can leverage for learnings/coaching/share successes/willing to assist, but are somewhat rare. If you identify one, hook your wagon to them and you will have success and likely enjoy all that Crossmark offers.

Cons

1. As a BAM the buck stops with you- you will answer for any and all short comings and challenges regardless of the situation- see item #3. You carry the weight for the organization, BAMs are the backbone that carry the head (management)- CBMs are gold and can be your best support. 2. Pay increases were not aligned with industry, and no employee wants to be told they are lucky the company even offered a merit increase (see item 1.). 3. How much support, success, collaboration, desire to win ALL depends on the leadership vertical you fall under- directors are hit or miss- some are merely paper champions and riding into retirement and lean on the BAMs for elements they are responsible for. 4. Wins are celebrated but are short lived and the focus tends to be on the shortcomings/challenges (even if it is the client who doesn't uphold their commitments).

Pros

There are none. The pro is that I'm being laid off in 6 weeks and can ve done dealing with them.

Cons

From the very beginning my experience has been that crossmark makes questionable decisions in selecting management and supervisors. Each one I had was worse than the one before. My latest one is disorganized. Bad at communicating. More interested in being on a power trip than actually being an effective leader. Gives zero motivation, keeps moral low, won't recognize a job well done but will ridicule people for small mistakes in front of multiple districts of employees on conference calls. Yells if you report issues. Yells if you don't report issues. Makes herself completely unapproachable, then demands you approach her. Bothers you woth texts and emails repeatedly throughout your work day and even during time off. The whole company has no respect for their employees. When you need something they don't care what your name is, just want to know you by your employee ID. Very impersonal. In fact, my whole division was forced into a *mandatory conference call* yesterday during a time we would normally be off the clock and in the middle of enjoying what was left of our day after work, just to be told we were being laid off in 6 weeks. All of us had a day off today. So they disrupted our time off, before our full day off, to tell us terrible news. They wanted us to process it on our day off so we can still ve effective at work in Thursday. This company has audacity in spades. That said, the #1 biggest con: when my boss was asked about raises, she confirmed that its crossmark's policy not to give raises to part time employees. Yep. You read that right. If you are a current part time employee your inly chance of getting a raise is if minimum wage increases. If you are being offered a job, know that whatever pay you agree to during the interview/offer is what you will be stuck with. No raises. Literally doesn't matter how well or poorly you do your job, you are just a replaceable number on a spreadsheet somewhere.
