      Pros

      Pockets of good employees who remember legendary good old days when this was a decent place to work and stick around out of a sense of misplaced loyalty, inertia or general mental defect. It's been a good education in how not to do things. (That may sound sarcastic, but it's not.)

      Cons

      This place is completely toxic. Business is deteriorating and management can't pull the company out of the nosedive. Result is endless cost cutting, always at the expense of the employees, particularly in the US. Employees are viewed with utter contempt. Fortunately there's *just* enough profit to richly compensate CEO, CFO and a select few others.

      Interesting and widely varied clients, both commercial and Government (intelligence, state, federal)

      Cons

      CSC commercial is in free-fall. Approximately 19,000 roles cut in the last two years, trying to improve the bottom line on layoffs. Policy changes the result in cutting back service, without consulting long-term clients, is causing client dissatisfaction that the 'leadership' does not want to acknowledge.

      Pros

      Much of the culture of CSC depends on the specific contract you are employed under. I really enjoy the people I work with and the practices of the subset of the company I am with. My position is an excellent fit for my skills and the people I work with appreciate what I do.

      Cons

      The CSC corporate office has been handing down new decisions every few months since Lawrie's arrival that are designed solely to please shareholders, boost the stock price, and ensure Lawrie's stock option bonuses are granted. The most recent vacation policy change that mandates taking a week of vacation on CSC-designated days and expires vacation not taken in the year it was earned is simply an accounting trick to remove the 'vacation liability' before CSC's fiscal year-end reporting.
