Pros

At the time of my employment, there was a strong overall stability compared to other consulting firms. Felt like management really cared about employees and provided support when needed.

Cons

Organizational restructuring created an instability among employees. Yearly review process was painful. Benefit change greatly increased health care cost to employees.

Pros

You have the ability to work from home and with that comes a certain amount of flexibility. The salary is fair for the amount of work expected of you.

Cons

You are not compensated for doing extra work, although you are always expected to improve. No raises in 5 years. CEO is changing the company structure, resulting in budget cuts and no growth.

Pros

-Lots of down time so it's great if you're in school. -Pay is good ($15.01/hr for the General Clerk III position, other positions pay alot more) considering the amount of work you do -Great if you're 40 or over or about to retire -Great if you want to do the same thing everyday -Very generous tuition reimbursement $7500 for undergrad and $15,000 for grad school -Work/life balance, they rarely approve over time pay -Job is extremely easy

Cons

-Extremely poor work environment, most of the people are 50 and over, grumpy, negative, and have horrible attitudes. -Repetitive miniscule tasks day end and day out -Zero career development, no clear path to moving up. You just have to hope that a job opens up and hope that they pick you for it. -Boring/too much down time -Not great for if you're under 40, have ambition, or have a family to support -Company is about to split into two companies CSC in Louisville, KY has high turnover because they have a serious problem with their work-place environment. I would definitely take extra caution when it comes to the General Clerk III position. There was one lady on my team who treated me like pure dog crap. They can't keep anyone in the position because of this. Everyone has been working together for approx. 10 years so they all act as if it's normal. I wasn't sure if any of my co-workers liked each other. They would fight every week but still go to lunch together and carpool everyday together. They've probably been working together too long. Most of the people, you'll be working with are 50 or over but act like high schoolers and are extremely petty. It's mostly an ad hoc environment. As a General Clerk III, communication will be push and pull rather than interactive. Management and the seasoned employees will give you orders and alot of the time you won't even know why you're doing it. I'm only giving all of this information because I wish that someone would have told me.
