Pros

It was interesting work for me

Cons

We celebrated people who worked while they were sick. In the midst of a global pandemic. In a healthcare company. Toxic management and "throw your employees under the bus" culture. White management, from the Midwest, is particularly mean to employees of Indian descent, who tend to hold lowest ranking roles. 90% of management is white and mid-western. Meaning, they live in isolated environments, where everyone looks, talks, thinks, dresses and behaves - like them. Coastal communities are very poorly represented. And thus is, awareness of different cultures, tolerance, wordliness, etc. They wouldn't know Diversity & Inclusion, if it hit them in the head. Someone once said in a call that they like a particular athlete, a tennis player. And another person criticized their choice and made them feel uncomfortable. So much so, that the tennis lover started apologizing and backtracking. Management said nothing during this whole ordeal.

Pros

If you enjoy client-facing roles you get plenty of interaction with patients and customers of CVS.

Cons

If you need to use the restroom you will need to hold it. Lunch is set for 30 minutes? You'll get more like 15-20. If this sounds appealing to you while working at the same rate that chick-fil-a pays their employees to handle insurance adjudication, COVID-19 Testing, and a surplus of prescriptions that are behind. This is the role for you. There were weekends we were reaching out to our DL for help just to never hear back. 30+ vaccinations for the pharmacist and back to back testing for the technician when we were the only two in the store. Drive-thru line around the building, people stuck in it waiting for prescriptions as testing was done in front of them. This was not worth the stress or the $12.70 an hour. They have not increased their pay despite the strain on the profession due to COVID-19. I spent more time COVID-19 Testing people than most tasks on days when I had no additional pay for it. I also recommend looking up Ashleigh Anderson. CVS can post about how they support Women all they please, while they let one of their own who was supposed to be a valued pharmacist die on the clock in their pharmacy.
