Pros

Stability in pharmacy market. Benefits.

Cons

Understaffing, overworked, constant management personnel changes, metrics requirements often unattainable & time consuming, too much emphasis on speed instead of quality of pharmacist.

Pros

You do get two 15 minute breaks and a 30 minute lunch.

Cons

Training covered the basic hardware/software that you will be working with, but lacked in training for the actual job. They track everything. If you go to a restroom break, every second of that has to be logged. If you are seconds late from lunch, that is logged. You have to work one weekend day a week. You will work past your end time every single day. Because if you are scheduled to get off at 5:30, and it is 5:29, and a call comes in, you have to take that call. Every week has a different start time, so your schedule does not stay the same. You also have a different weekday off every week. I would never recommend this job to anyone trying to get into IT. You would be much better off focusing on building relevant skills to whatever IT job you want. You will not gain much relevant experience in this job.

Pros

Benefits and the ability to leave work at work

Cons

HEAVY workload. You perform the job of 3 employees! Responsibilities: - Acting as healthcare provider (acute, and some chronic care- Hives to Hypertension, reviewing lab results and calling patients with results) - Acting as MA (obtaining patient health/medical history, medication reconciliation, vitals, phlebotomy etc.) -Acting as front desk/receptionist (assisting with patient check-in, answering customer questions, dealing with customer complaints/ customer satisfaction, handling insurances, scheduling follow up appointments) -Acting as office manager (tracking inventory, ordering office supplies, cleaning clinic, mopping floors, taking out trash, end of day financial reconciliation with CVS manager on duty) Pay is also well below market value for position- plus additional job responsibilities. Expect 15min average visit time for everything from coughs to DOT exams (including checking in patient/handling insurance, patient contact and address info etc./obtaining medical history) *also note, MC practices “slow boiling the frog” business model. you will be expected to perform not only those duties initially assigned to you..but also any and all duties added thereafter.
