Pros

Summers off, state benefits, 30 years till retirement

Cons

Have to work summers because you don't get paid during the summer months. We get state benefits that we still have to pay for. You can retire in 30 years, but who can make it more than 5 without dying of exhaustion and mental health issues.

Pros

Good admin and teachers, most students are respectful daily

Cons

Like all teaching jobs, you’re not just teaching content. You’re correcting behaviors, staying later than your contract to work events, contacting parents who disrespect you and continue to teach their children to disrespect you. Low pay compared to any job with a graduate degree.
