Pros

- co-workers are the best part, despite low moral - Hr do their best with what they have and are always willing to help - 3point5 discounts (up to 70% off)

Cons

- management do not communicate or work together - management are not trained well - management are never held accountable for their actions - some management lie, bully and take advantage of people who don't stand up for themselves - management do not follow new standards set by evolving corp. wasting employees time - constant scheduling issues due to negligence - management are carried by their leads and don't learn the jobs they micromanage to a fault - does not follow availability of employees - pay is very low - wont listen to experienced or logical input - favoritism is alive and strong - corp is dysfunctional and have no clue how retail works - corp wastes money and fixates on short term issues - corp never is consistent

Pros

selling outdoor stuff to people who have money to throw away since everything is way over priced

Cons

first thing are managers, so many managers breathing down you neck, every little move you make or corner you turn there's a manager, micromanagement extrem, hours are horrible, weekends and long boring days for full timers and little to no hours for part time. no raises no recognition a lot of uncertainty and fear of doors closing since the competition announce a merge. So much turn over and lack of appreciation for loyal and hard working employees and that's why no one stays.

Pros

Fun environment to work in and SOME great people. Discount is great! At my store, the GM is phenomenal. He believes in you and will work with you and push you to achieve greatness.

Cons

After working for this company for 5 years, I've seen the good, the bad, and the ugly. The lack of consistency and communication is what hurts the store the most. Managers are allowed to do and say as they please. They can single you out and verbally harass you and when you speak up about it you get exiled. I had a manager get in my face and when brought to upper management, I was told I was exaggerating and being dramatic. Not a single word was said to this "leader", while I get talked to about my "negative attitude". If you have any sort of backbone or opinion, you will immediately become a target. They stress and are nit picky over the small things, while the major issues remain untouched. You get yelled at for wearing improper pants while management walks around with low rise jeans and butt crack hanging out, but that is not an issue. Gossip is gossip and no one can control it, but it tends to become unsettling when management is the ones starting and spreading the rumors. I learned you are just a number, so there is no point in going above and beyond because in the end you get screwed regardless.
