Pros

Mostly friendly people. Majority who were inherited from William Hill. Culture that predominantly originates from the NJ office have a different approach than the ones from the NV office.

Cons

Flat org isn't true at Caesars Sportsbook. Culture and Values are only on the surface. There is a shadow hierarchy, a lot of people want to help, but the org is dysfunctional enough that people are getting backstabbed. If you choose to work here, do it so that you can put a brand name on your resume. Don't give the red flags too many chances! Get out!

Pros

- Pay and benefits are good. - Work-life balance is also good though there were stressful times. - Some friendly and helpful coworkers

Cons

- Lack of technical leadership. There were many instances where my peers and I felt like we were in the wild west because there was no documentation or we had no idea who owned a feature. The GMs aren't technical leaders and add close to zero value to the team. - Lack of code standards, feedback, and mentoring. Removing blockers at Caesars Sportsbook is a nightmare. - Poor hiring planning. People were hired without a specific need. First, they hire and then try to find something for them to do.

The Carano family doesn't care.

Pros

$25 gift card for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Cons

Minimum wage with no raises for service employees. No holiday pay. Minimal or no employee recognition programs. Supervisors and management spread too thin and not given the tools they need. Deferred maintenance leaves the properties in ill repair. Exposed electric outlets protrude 4 inches from the floor, hanging from cords in several working areas. Reno properties are choking on smoke in the gaming areas and hotel reviews show shabby and dirty units. Employee morale is horrible and the service reflects it. "The Row" in Reno just closed the Circus Circus table games department all together and laid off more than 100 employees. The Caranos don't care about Reno, they don't care about your town, and they don't care about you.
