Pros

The money and benefits are good.

Cons

It's almost impossible to implement any change for the good. Because of the flat org, no one actually owns anything. There are hour long meetings in which people bring up great ideas but it ultimately gets vetoed and it dies on the floor because there is no 100% buy in on anything. Deadlines are unrealistic and the software suffers because of it. New requirements are constantly added to tickets after development has already begun. They have scrum ceremonies but that's about as close as you get to real scrum. There are no manual QA engineers aside from the developers. The only focus of the QA team is automation testing.

Pros

- Remote Work Policy - Fly out to Las Vegas for important meetings

Cons

- Horizontal Organization in which 100s of people report to General Manager and General Manager have no clue of your contribution due to lot of people reporting to them and therefore GM rely on hearsay of several people when it comes to performance review which leads to lot of politics and favoring. GM have no mechanism to filter anyone's inflated praise or biased criticism. - Lots of Product Manager are hired while there are no Engineering Manager. Product Manager control backlog and do not have any knowledge about technology and only prioritize feature but rarely tech debt. When system can no longer handle the feature and requires rollback from production, at that time they prioritize tech debt.
