- Their on-boarding is a terrible and very manual process. The HR depart insists on doing everything with paper instead of using online resources.
- The "training" mentioned in other comments is a week long orientation. This orientation is NOT job training, it's for familiarizing you with Cambria's policies and getting you to know the product and how it's made. The orientation is aimed at sales reps, and has very little value to IT.
- The insurance benefits are not great. No vision or dental since they insist it can be covered under the FSA. I'll give them credit though, they do offer one free checkup per year for vision.
- Communication is a huge issue between the teams and also between management and the teams. Team members, as IT professionals, have little say in technology choices that affect them. Management prefers to go with the cheapest option most times.
- The company is very short-sighted. They have no 1-year or 3-year plan in the IT department. This makes work as an IT professional difficult, especially as an engineer, since we get very limited direction from leadership.
- Upper management is very unprofessional and likes to play favorites. There's a time and place to joke around, and it doesn't consist of "all the time" and "everywhere".
- I hope you like starting every meeting late, because most people don't show up on time. There's a difference between being in a laid back environment and not respecting others' time.
