Pros

Cambria is a company full of opportunities. The IT department is growing rapidly and bringing a lot of energy to the company. All ideas are welcome and innovation promoted. We hold with pride a very strategic plan full of very attractive technologies. IT is an instrumental agent of change for the entire organization. I can see in our teams DNA collaboration and innovation, a recipe for great success.

Cons

I don't see too many things relevant to bring up. Changes can be complicated for the organization. They demand adaptation and patience.

Pros

-Great quality product that sells itself -Cambria prides itself on having awesome customer service -The grounds are immaculate for the for the all of the Cambria facilities -Willing to spend money on new technology

Cons

This company has a big problem with management, most of management does not have any integrity and will not stand up for their employees. When their employees question their decisions we are met with just do it, rather than given a legitimate business reason of why. Management also has a huge case of do as I say and not as I do. All of the management in the IT department came from much larger organizations and does not understand that in a well oiled machine policies and procedures are well defined but in a smaller department you have to me more diverse and be able to address more than just one thing. They also come up with some ideas that you have to real them back into reality and explain that there are ramifications of that decision and that the small company business culture will not accept that decision without fallout.

Pros

- The quartz surfaces that are manufactured in the Le Sueur plant are absolutely magnificent. - They're attention to detail put into the product and the customer support are second to none. - The product basically sells itself and is causing huge growth within the company. - If you're in Information Technology (IT) and like to "live to work", then Cambria is the place for you. - The grounds are very clean and the grass is very well kept. Beware: do NOT walk on the grass.

Cons

- Their on-boarding is a terrible and very manual process. The HR depart insists on doing everything with paper instead of using online resources. - The "training" mentioned in other comments is a week long orientation. This orientation is NOT job training, it's for familiarizing you with Cambria's policies and getting you to know the product and how it's made. The orientation is aimed at sales reps, and has very little value to IT. - The insurance benefits are not great. No vision or dental since they insist it can be covered under the FSA. I'll give them credit though, they do offer one free checkup per year for vision. - Communication is a huge issue between the teams and also between management and the teams. Team members, as IT professionals, have little say in technology choices that affect them. Management prefers to go with the cheapest option most times. - The company is very short-sighted. They have no 1-year or 3-year plan in the IT department. This makes work as an IT professional difficult, especially as an engineer, since we get very limited direction from leadership. - Upper management is very unprofessional and likes to play favorites. There's a time and place to joke around, and it doesn't consist of "all the time" and "everywhere". - I hope you like starting every meeting late, because most people don't show up on time. There's a difference between being in a laid back environment and not respecting others' time.
