Pros

There are great people who work there and opportunities to work with the San Mateo community. Good wages and benefits.

Cons

Very high turnover rate and poor communication between teams and upper management. A lot of politics and drama that damage morale and make it difficult to focus on job tasks.

Pros

The clients appreciate the staff and case managers which makes it worth staying. The clients show the case managers by working on their sobriety, obtaining employment, and finding housing once medication stabilized.

Cons

The company picks negative attributes in their employees and focuses on them. They never focus on their employees positive attributes than wonder why there's such bad rapport. The company has lost valuable intelligent employees because of the way they are treated. They will say if you don't like it find another job. Employees care about those clients and when getting into human services walking away isn't so easy.

Pros

Benefits, helping people, variety of programs

Cons

Just because an agency claims that they embrace diversity and are an equal opportunity employer, it doesn’t mean that they are. This non profit has discriminated against qualified applicants on a regular basis who continue to apply, some applicants have been applying for over a year, meet all qualifications, but continue to not be given any interviews and the positions applied for remain available for hire, HR simply will repost the job after discriminating against qualified applicants. Also, they are one of the few non profits that have a drug testing requirement which is so stupid and a waste of time and money.
