Pros

I worked at Campari for almost 1 year. The offices on Battery are beautiful. The liquor brands are excellent. The free healthy snacks and the coffee are the best things about the Campari organization.

Cons

The liquor brands are excellent, however the people are not. I found the workplace to be extremely stressful and poor. Managers here are myopic, micro-managers. I don't see how anybody could be happy working at this place. The accounting/finance department was particularly horrible. I haven't seen so many cliques since high school. The Asians hang only with the Asians, the whites with the whites, the ex-pats with ex-pats, the Italians with the Italians, etc. People in this office don't even have courtesy to say 'good morning', 'hello' or even smile... With all the great places to work in the Bay Area - prospective employees should not even consider working at Campari America. All the 5-star reviews on Glassdoor must be 'fake news'. There is no way anyone could highly rate this organization.

Pros

Growing company via acquisitions and organic growth on some key brands. Offices are nice, location in San Francisco is a plus.

Cons

No strategic vision, short-term or long-term. Extremely lean on people, platforms, and resources. Upper management not qualified, nor engaged enough, to provide needed leadership. Accountability and sense of urgency isn't a priority with Campari America. Minimal room to grow.

Pros

Excellent pay and benefits. Very bright people around you. The NYC office is truly stunning.

Cons

It really depends on your manager. As with any other job, but especially in this one, your manager will make or break you. Make sure he/she meshes with your personality or there will be problems. In my case, I unfortunately was meshed with a micromanager and type-A personality whose love of redundant work, procedures, and her inability to turn off from work hindered my ability to thrive very early on. I quit after a week because I could tell right away it would not work in the long run. That is not to say Campari is a bad company. It isn’t. But realize that your experience will vary depending on your department. If you find a good manager, do NOT leave. It is a beautiful place to work.
