Pros

There's only one pro at the Garner NC location...you can get away with murder. There are absolutely no consequences for employee actions. If you need to take time off you can do so without requesting off. All you gotta do is tell the manager you are not coming that day. It doesn't matter if you are scheduled or not.

Cons

This is by far one of the worst places I've ever worked at. Everyone is in a clique and if you are not in that clique you are just a mere peon. 90% of the people there are on some type of drug whether it's marijuana or popping pills. Every body in management is aware of the drug usage there and no one does anything about it. There is a lot of theft at the location and again management does nothing about it. You will absolutely not get a raise no matter how hard you work. The service department constantly lies to the customers and oftentimes ignore their complaints. There has been many lawsuits at my location over the years. I have even seen many counts of racism there. There is a lot of family members working together and a lot of fraternization. Their main focus in the retail department is Good Sam sales. And if you are not up to par you will be fired.

Pros

After 4 years I can tell you the best part of working for camping world is the end of your shift Or your 2 days off.

Cons

Unless you are in the clique you are treated like dirt no matter how hard you work no matter how good your are at your position you are nothing. If you dare complain to their HR department you will be in a living hell for your duration or until they can make some trumpet up bs to fire you. Membership sells are ridiculous the goals are ridiculous and even if you can meet the goal by pressuring our poor customers your pay out is little. We are expected to cashier, unload the truck put away everything from the truck help on the sales floor while running back to register to pressure customers to buy a good sam or roadside or credit card or whatever then run back to do freight face and clean store while being treated like dirt. Management is a complete joke from not knowing how to write a simple schedule to letting his store fall apart as long as his favorite employees are happy he is happy. Seriously !
